WHEN IS THE COTUIT KETTLEERS BASEBALL SEASON?

Interns must be available to work games from June 5th through the end of the Cotuit Kettleers season, which could be as late as August 15th.  A mandatory preseason orientation will be scheduled before opening day.

WHAT ARE TYPICAL WORKING HOURS FOR INTERNS?

The Cotuit Kettleers regular season is 44 games, including 22 home games. Post-season games vary from as few as 2 games to a maximum of 9 games, of which roughly half would be at home. Home games begin at 5:00 PM during June and July and 4:30 PM during August. Playoff games start as early as 3:00 PM. All interns must arrive at Lowell Park 90 minutes before regular season games and 2 hours before post-season games wearing intern shirts that will be provided by the organization.  Broadcast/Media Team interns and Sports Management interns are required to attend both home and away games.  All other interns are required to attend home games only.

IS THIS A PAID INTERNSHIP?

All Cotuit Kettleers internships are 100% volunteer and are unpaid positions.

WHERE WILL I LIVE?

Housing is scarce and expensive during the summer on Cape Cod and typically costs $1500-$2000 for the baseball season. The organization cannot guarantee housing for interns but will assist by providing contact information of local housing opportunities as acceptable situations become known to us.  Typical intern housing includes a private bedroom with laundry and kitchen privileges. Food and transportation are not included.  It is critical that prospective interns begin a housing search by late winter or early spring.

DO I NEED MY OWN TRANSPORTATION?

You will need to provide your own transportation. All interns for the Broadcasting and Media Team and the General Manager and MLB Liaison interns must provide own transportation to away games (gas and food allowance provided for away games by organization).  Car-pooling to away games with media interns is encouraged.

WILL I HAVE FUN?

Yes!   The Cape Cod Baseball League is a part of the summer experience on Cape Cod.  Cotuit Kettleers baseball is enjoyed by players, staff, and fans alike. The Cotuit Kettleers interns work hard, but you'll have fun and gain valuable experience for your resume.
